Jiddie ("Jiddie," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by JIDDIE TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED.

Jiddie provides a chess-learning mobile application, website, support services, and related features (together, the "Service").

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how long we retain it, and the choices and rights available to you when you use Jiddie.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that is necessary to provide, secure, improve, and support Jiddie.

1.1 Account and Profile Information

If you create an account, we may collect:

• Age or age group
• Country or region
• Preferred language
• Account creation date
• Account status
• Authentication information associated with your account

If you use Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, we may receive information that the provider makes available to us, such as a provider identifier, name, or email address or Apple relay email address.

We do not receive your Apple or Google password.

1.2 Learning, Game and Progress Information

To provide Jiddie's learning and gameplay features, we may collect:

• Lessons and puzzles started or completed
• Answers and chess moves
• Wrong-move counts
• Hint usage
• Learning progress
• ELO or other in-app ratings
• Rankings
• Streaks
• Gems
• Rewards
• Achievements
• Unlocks
• Match outcomes
• Gameplay statistics
• Course or learning-interest selections

We may also use stable activity, session, lesson, or attempt identifiers to prevent duplicate rewards, detect abuse, maintain ranking integrity, and operate the Service.

1.3 Public Profile and Leaderboard Information

Depending on the features you use, your:

• Display name
• Username
• ELO or leaderboard score
• Rank
• Streak or related progress statistics

may be visible to other Jiddie users.

Some leaderboard information may also be visible to people who do not have a Jiddie account.

Do not use your legal name or include an email address, phone number, home address, or other sensitive information in a public display name if you do not want that information publicly visible.

Where available, Jiddie may provide privacy controls that allow you to limit or change public profile or leaderboard visibility.

1.4 Notifications

If you enable reminders or push notifications, we may process:

• Notification preferences
• Reminder time
• Timezone
• Push notification token
• Device-registration information
• Notification delivery or interaction events

Notifications are optional and can be changed in Jiddie or through your device settings.

1.5 App, Device, Analytics and Diagnostic Information

We and our service providers may collect information such as:

• App version
• Operating system
• Device platform
• General device or installation identifiers
• Pseudonymous analytics identifiers
• Screens viewed
• Features used
• Session duration
• Referral source
• Product interactions
• Performance information
• Network and API errors
• Diagnostic and crash information

Jiddie does not intentionally use this information to track you across other companies' apps or websites for behavioral advertising.

Jiddie does not currently display third-party behavioral advertising.

1.6 Guest and Locally Stored Information

Some Jiddie features may be available without creating an account.

If you use Jiddie as a guest, certain information such as progress, settings, onboarding state, and preferences may be stored locally on your device.

For signed-in users, authentication sessions may be stored using operating-system protected storage.

Some locally stored information may be removed when you clear app data or uninstall Jiddie, depending on your device and operating-system behavior.

1.7 Information We Do Not Currently Collect

Based on the current version of the Service, Jiddie does not intentionally request or collect:

• Precise location
• Contacts or address-book data
• Camera recordings
• Microphone recordings
• Payment-card information directly through Jiddie
• Advertising identifiers for targeted advertising

If these practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.

2. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

• Create, authenticate, secure, and maintain accounts.
• Provide lessons, puzzles, matches, progress syncing, leaderboards, streaks, Gems, rewards, and other requested features.
• Save and restore learning progress.
• Deliver requested reminders and notifications.
• Maintain fair rankings and prevent duplicate rewards.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent cheating, fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Diagnose errors and maintain Service performance and reliability.
• Understand how users interact with Jiddie and improve our products and features.
• Provide customer and technical support.
• Respond to privacy, correction, access, and deletion requests.
• Comply with applicable law and legal obligations.
• Enforce our Terms and protect Jiddie, our users, and the public.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

Where laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we process personal information on one or more lawful bases, depending on the circumstances.

We may process information necessary to provide the Service you request, including account creation, authentication, progress synchronization, lessons, gameplay, rankings, and account management.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information.

We do not use Jiddie information for cross-company behavioral advertising.

We may share information with service providers and other third parties that help us operate the Service.

Our service providers may process information on our behalf and may be subject to their own privacy notices and contractual obligations.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with applicable law or legal process.
• Respond to lawful requests from government authorities.

Public Information

Information you choose to make public through your Jiddie profile or leaderboard may be visible to other users and, depending on the feature, search engines.

We do not intentionally publish your email address, authentication credentials, internal user IDs, or other private account information through the public leaderboard.

5. International Data Processing

Jiddie and its service providers may process personal information in countries other than the country where you live.

Those countries may have different data-protection laws from your home country.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will use an appropriate legally recognized transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, contractual safeguards, or another mechanism permitted by applicable law.

The specific mechanism may depend on the countries involved and the service provider processing the information.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Generally:

• Account information is retained while your account remains active.
• Learning and gameplay information is retained while necessary to provide the Service and maintain account history.
• Security, fraud-prevention, and operational records may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary for those purposes.
• Support and legal records may be retained for as long as necessary to handle the request, comply with legal obligations, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
• Analytics information may be retained according to the applicable provider's configuration and our business requirements.
• Deleted account information is removed or de-identified from active systems, subject to legally required retention and limited backup copies.

Where practical, we use specific retention periods or criteria appropriate to the type and purpose of the information.

7. Account and Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your Jiddie account through:

We may verify control of the account before processing a deletion request. We will never ask for your password or one-time verification code.

Account deletion generally removes or de-identifies Jiddie-controlled:

• Account information
• Profile information
• Learning progress
• Streaks
• ELO
• Gems
• Rewards
• Match history
• Notification settings
• Push tokens
• Related account records

Some information may be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Limited copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until normal backup rotation.

Verified deletion requests are generally intended to be completed promptly and, where applicable, within 30 days, subject to legal requirements, verification, and technical backup processes.

For Sign in with Apple accounts, Jiddie may take appropriate steps to revoke or discontinue the applicable authorization where supported and required.

We may also submit deletion requests to configured analytics or service providers where applicable.

Guest Users

If you never created a Jiddie account, there may be no server account to delete.

Guest progress and settings stored locally on your device can generally be removed using available app or device data controls.

8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights including:

• Accessing personal information we hold about you.
• Requesting correction of inaccurate information.
• Requesting deletion of personal information.
• Requesting a copy or portable version of certain information.
• Requesting restriction of processing.
• Objecting to certain processing.
• Withdrawing consent where processing is based on consent.

These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right where prohibited by applicable law.

9. California Privacy Rights

If California privacy law applies to you, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, including rights to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of certain sales or sharing, and other rights provided by applicable law.

Jiddie does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We will provide any additional notices, disclosures, or opt-out mechanisms required by applicable California law.

Where required, a separate Notice at Collection may be presented at or before the point at which personal information is collected.

10. Children's Privacy and Age Requirements

Jiddie is designed as a learning and entertainment service and may be attractive to younger users.

Our minimum account age is generally 13, but the age at which a person may use an online service independently varies by jurisdiction.

If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age, parental consent, age verification, or other safeguards, those requirements apply.

Where applicable law treats a user as a child, Jiddie will apply the safeguards required by that law, which may include:

• Restricting public profile information.
